All Knak email templates have placeholder images and code in the HTML to make them responsive. However, users must be careful when they edit their placeholder images in Marketo, as the Marketo editor will strip the responsive code out of the email if it is not done correctly.

There are 2 ways to update the images in Marketo. Please use the one you feel most comfortable with.

Option #1

Step #1

Select the placeholder image. Do not delete it.

Step #2

Select the image icon.

Step #3

Update the Image URL with your desired image URL.

Important Note: Your image must be the exact dimensions of what is listed in the placeholder image. Generally, height of the image does not matter, but width must be exactly the same.

Step #4

Select the 'Appearance' tab of the image. Whatever the first number of your placeholder image was, put this into the width dimension. Keep the height dimension blank. In this example, we would actually put 600 into the width since that's what our image placeholder showed.

Option #2 [Requires some HTML knowledge]

Step #1

Select the placeholder image.

Step #2

Update the image URL with your new image URL.

Important Note: Your image must be the exact dimensions of what is listed in the placeholder image. Generally, height of the image does not matter, but width must be exactly the same.
