Font Stacks and Fallback Fonts

Because of limited support, Knak uses font stacks. These ensure your emails fall back to a safe font if the custom one isn’t supported.

Example (as shown in the editor):

Common Font Stack Examples

Web Font

Fallback Stack

Bitter

Georgia → Times → Times New Roman → serif

Droid Serif

Georgia → Times → Times New Roman → serif

Lato

Tahoma → Verdana → Segoe → sans-serif

Open Sans

Helvetica Neue → Helvetica → Arial → sans-serif

Roboto

Tahoma → Verdana → Segoe → sans-serif

Source Sans Pro

Tahoma → Verdana → Segoe → sans-serif

These stacks are optimized for font shape and size. Fonts like Lobster are not included due to limited fallback compatibility.

メイリオ (Meiryo)

→ MS PGothic → ヒラギノ角ゴ Pro W3 → Hiragino Kaku Gothic Pro → Osaka → sans-serif
