Note: We recommend creating a Knak API admin user in Monday.com and then using the API Key of that user to set up this integration. More information on that can be found below.
You can use the same credentials to create an integration to a different board under the same Monday.com instance.
Setting up the Monday.com integration
Log in to your Knak account.
Click on "Studio" in the top left corner, then click on the "Admin" button to navigate into the Admin settings.
3. Select the "Integrations" option on the left-hand side menu bar, and then click on "Platforms".
4. Scroll down to the Project Management section and select the Monday.com tile.
5. Fill out the fields as follows:
Integration Name β this is how your Monday.com integration will be referred to within your Knak instance
API Key β This is the API Key of your Monday.com Admin user. It can be found in Monday.com by clicking your avatar, then Administration > API
Managing your integration
Now that your integration is set up, you can view its configuration, edit it, or delete it from the "My Platform Connection" list on the Integrations page.
If you need to connect a new integration β or re-add a previously deleted one β you can do so by scrolling down to the "All Platforms" section and clicking Connect or Add Another Connection on the relevant platform tile.
Mapping to other Monday.com columns
It is possible to allow additional information to flow from Monday.com into custom fields on the asset Info tab in Knak.
To set this up, you will need to reach out to your Knak account team and request the desired custom fields be created in Knak to match your Monday.com columns. For example, if you want to display the column Deadline in Knak, you would request a field to be created in Knak called "Deadline".
Once the custom field has been created in Knak, you can map the corresponding Monday.com column to it via the Monday.com integration page in Knak. Simply select the relevant Board where the column(s) live and map them to the corresponding Knak field(s).
Note: if you're using custom field mapping, you will only be able to sync data to one Monday.com board. If you don't need field mapping you can leave this blank and sync to all boards.
Other options
Add Knak Status in Monday - Toggle this on to send the Knak asset status (draft, approved, in review etc) back to Monday.com.
Add Link to Knak Asset in Monday - toggle this on to automatically generate a link in Monday.com that can be clicked to open the Knak asset.
Add Knak Comments in Monday - Toggle this on to send comments added in Knak back to Monday.com so they will display in the comments section. # Comments added in Monday.com will not sync back to Knak.
Restrict to Brands - Add brand(s) here to restrict which brands can use the Monday.com integration.
You are now all set to use Monday.com alongside Knak! To get started, go to any Knak asset and click on the Info tab. Then, paste the link to your Monday.com item on the right-hand side under Project Management.
