How to set up the Adobe Journey Optimizer integration and sync

Knak has a direct integration with Adobe Journey Optimizer so you can easily sync email templates with the click of a button.

Note: You will need Adobe Developer access to complete these steps.

Setting up your Project in Adobe

  1. Log in to your Adobe Developer Console and create a new project

  2. Add the API for Adobe Journey Optimizer

    1. Select OAuth Server-to-Server and click Next

    2. Select your product profiles and click Next

    3. Note: You’ll also need to retroactively add the Adobe Experience Platform API after creating the Project

  3. Under the API, select Generate access token

  4. Copy the Client ID

  5. Click Retrieve Client Secret & copy the Client Secret

  6. Copy the Organization ID

  7. Copy your AJO Organization Name

    1. First, log in to Adobe Journey Optimizer

    2. Then, in the URL, copy the name that appears after "sname:"

Setting up an AJO integration in Knak

  1. Log in to your Knak account

  2. Click on Studio in the top left corner, then click on Admin

  3. Select Integrations on the left-hand side menu, and then click on Platforms

  4. Select the Adobe Journey Optimizer tile

  5. Paste in your Organization ID, Sandbox Name, Client ID, and Client Secret

  6. Click Create New Integration

Managing your integration

Now that your integration is set up, you can view its configuration, edit it, or delete it from the "My Platform Connection" list on the Integrations page.

If you need to connect a new integration – or re-add a previously deleted one – you can do so by scrolling down to the "All Platforms" section and clicking Connect or Add Another Connection on the relevant platform tile.

To sync your email templates:

  1. Click Publish and then Sync

  2. Select the Adobe Journey Optimizer integration

  3. If necessary, rename your asset

  4. Click Sync
