Integrate ChatGPT to the Knak MCP Server

Learn how to connect your ChatGPT account to the Knak MCP server. This setup lets you create emails using prompts inside ChatGPT.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • Admin access to ChatGPT (this is required to create Apps and to use the MCP)

  • An active Knak account

Note: Emails generate in the Knak instance you are logged into when you connect.

This feature is in Alpha Testing. Please reach out to grace.lee@knak.com to request access. Complete this step before you set up your MCP connection.

Create a Connection to Knak MCP

Follow these steps to connect ChatGPT to the Knak MCP server.

Step 1: Open Apps in ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT

  2. Click Settings

    ChatGPT Settings selection.

  3. Locate the Apps tab

  4. Click Create App under Advanced Settings.

Step 2: Enter App Details

  1. Enter an app name

    • Example: Knak MCP

  2. Add a description (optional)

  3. Enter the MCP server URL:

  4. Accept the terms and conditions

  5. Click Create

Step 3: Authorize the App

  1. Review the permission request

  2. Click Allow to connect your Knak account

  3. Your connected app will appear upon completion.

Step 4: Connect in a Chat

  1. Click Start Chat

  2. Type @ in the prompt field

  3. Select the Knak app from the list

  4. Enter your prompt

Start Creating Emails

Once connected, you can begin using the MCP server.

  • Enter a prompt in ChatGPT

  • Generate email content directly

  • Iterate quickly using prompts
