Setting up the Knak<>AEM integration is easy. It allows you to use your AEM library in Knak to create beautiful emails and landing pages.

If you require additional technical details for your specific AEM integration use case, please see our Adobe Experience Manager - Technical Details Supplement article.

Required Information to complete the integration:

  • AEM Username

  • AEM Password

  • AEM endpoint URL

Note: You will also need to have administrator or integrator permission in Knak to complete this integration.

Setting up the AEM integration

  1. Log in to your Knak account.

  2. Click on "Studio" on the top left corner, then click on the "Admin" button to navigate into the Admin Settings.

  3. Select the "Integrations" option on the left-hand side menu bar, and then click on "Platforms".

  4. Select "Adobe Experience Manager" under digital asset management.

  5. Fill out the fields with your AEM username, password, endpoint URL, and public URL prefix (if necessary).

  6. Complete the setup by clicking "Create New Integration".

  7. Congratulations! You have successfully set up the AEM integration and will be able to add images from your AEM instance into emails and landing pages in your Knak instance!

Managing your integration

Now that your integration is set up, you can view its configuration, edit it, or delete it from the "My Platform Connection" list on the Integrations page.

If you need to connect a new integration – or re-add a previously deleted one – you can do so by scrolling down to the "All Platforms" section and clicking Connect or Add Another Connection on the relevant platform tile.

Adobe Experience Manager Renditions

After successfully creating a connection with Adobe Experience Manager, you can enable the option to use asset renditions within Knak.

Simply enable the ‘Use renditions’ toggle on the Adobe Experience Manager integrations tile, where you set up your credentials.

After enabling renditions, open a Knak asset and insert an image block into the asset. When navigating your AEM filesystem, you will see a ‘Show Renditions’ option on an image. This will load all renditions associated with that AEM asset.
