Before You Begin
Before you set up the integration, make sure you have:
A Knak administrator account.
Administrator access in Monday.com.
A dedicated API administrator user in Monday.com.
For the best experience, use a dedicated API administrator user for the integration. This improves security. It also makes the integration easier to maintain.
💡 Tip: Use an email alias when creating the dedicated API user, such as youremail+api@domain.com. This keeps all integrations tied to one account. It also helps prevent disruptions if a team member leaves your organization.
Find Your Monday.com API Key
You need your Monday.com API key to complete the integration setup.
Log in to Monday.com.
Click your profile avatar.
Select Administration.
Open Connections > Personal API Token.

Configure Field Mapping
You can map Monday.com columns to custom fields on the Info tab in Knak.
Create Custom Fields
Before mapping fields, contact your Knak Customer Success Manager.
Request custom fields that match the Monday.com columns you want to sync.
Example:
If you want to sync the Date column from Monday.com, request a custom field named Date in Knak.
Map Monday.com Columns
After the custom fields are available:
Open your Monday.com integration in Knak.
Select the Monday.com board that contains your columns.
Map each Monday.com column to the matching Knak custom field.
Note: When using custom field mapping, you can sync data from one Monday.com board only. Leave the board selection blank if you want to sync data from multiple boards without field mapping.
