What is a layer browser?

A layer browser is a tool that allows you to view and manage the different layers of a document or project. Layers are used in many design and editing software to organize and separate different elements of a design.

The layer browser is located on the left menu of the create tab. Once opened, the layer browser will display a list of all the layers in the document, usually in a hierarchical order. This means that the layers at the top of the list are on top of the layers below them in the design.

How to interact with the layer browser

Selecting your Content

The layer browser menu will allow you to edit the attributes of the layer you have selected. For example, if you clicked on a section layer, you will see the option to edit your section attributes:

Utilize Keyboard Shortcuts

Easily clone your sections using the layer browser by using keyboard shortcuts. Use "Ctrl C + Ctrl V" or "Command C + Command V" to copy and paste your sections with ease.

Similarly if you need to delete a section, you can highlight the section and press the "Delete" button on your keyboard to remove a section.

Rename your Layers

You'll notice that when adding in a section it will just add a default name for the content added in. A great way to organize your content is to rename your layers. Double click the layer you would like to rename and type in the new layer name. In the example below I renamed a module to "Header"
