Easily customize column layouts in Knak to fit your design needs. You can add, resize, or reorder columns after creating a section.
Add Columns
Add additional columns to a section to place content side by side.
Steps
Click the outer area of the section.
Open Section Attributes.
Expand the Columns dropdown.
Click + Add Column.
Repeat until you have the number of columns needed.
Resize Columns
Adjust the width of each column to control spacing and layout.
Steps
Locate the section to adjust.
Click the Manage Columns icon
(ruler and pencil icon) on the section edge.The slider controls the space between the two columns. Moving it changes the width of each column in real time.
This example shows a two-column section.
Drag the middle slider right to increase the width of the left column.
Drag the middle slider left to increase the width of the right column.
Reorder Columns
Change the order of columns to adjust the layout and visual flow of your section.
Method 1: Reorder From the Canvas
Click the outer edge of the section.
Click the Manage Columns icon.
Locate the four-arrow drag icon on the column.
Drag the column to the new position.
Method 2: Reorder From the Layer Browser
You can also reorder columns using the Layer Browser.
Open the Layer Browser.
Locate the columns inside the section.
Click and drag a column layer to a new position.
Release to update the column order.
This method is helpful when working with complex layouts or nested content.
Make Columns Equal Height
Equal height columns ensure consistent alignment across a section.
Steps
Click the section containing the columns.
Open the Columns dropdown.
Select Equal Height to match column heights.
Select Fit Content to allow columns to hug their content.
