Anchor links are great in a landing page as it lets a visitor jump between sections and helps boost overall user experience.

To set up an anchor link:

  1. Identify the section you want to anchor to and click on that section

  2. On the right side panel, click on Anchor Target

    1. Add a name to your anchor link

  3. If you have a sticky header, add an offset top so the anchor takes into account the sticky header.

  4. Next, go to the element you want to add the link. You can link to the following element types:

    1. Text:

    2. Button:

    3. Image:

  5. Ensure that the link type is “Anchor Link”

  6. If you have multiple anchor links in an asset, ensure that the “Anchor Link” value is correct.

Troubleshooting

When you change the name of an anchor link after creating an asset from a theme, the anchor link value does not automatically update. To ensure everything points to the correct link, you'll see an "Optimize" message prompting you to update the value. This step is important to keep other elements on the page properly linked.

To update your anchor link:

1. Change the anchor name to reflect the new value.

2. Go to the Optimize tab and click “Update” to apply the new anchor ID.
