What Is Brand Voice?

The Brand Voice tool ensures that all AI-generated content in Knak reflects your brand’s personality. This helps keep your messaging consistent across emails and campaigns.


How Brand Voice Works

Brand Voice integrates with Knak AI Assistants. It currently supports the AI Subject & Preview Text Agent, the AI Text Generation Agent, and the AI Email Generation feature.

You can prompt the assistant to tweak tone or language anytime.


How To Set Up Brand Voice

You must enable Knak AI to access Brand Voice settings.

Step 1: Add a Brand Voice

  1. Go to your Brands setup page.

  2. Click Create Brand Voice.

Tip: you can clone an existing Brand Voice to save time of you only want to make small changes

Step 2: Choose Attributes and Add Rules

  1. Select 4–7 personality attributes that match your brand.

  2. Add Brand Voice Rules that you would like to apply to any AI-generated content

Step 3: Preview

  • Click Preview Brand Voice to view a sample of how your content will sound for text generation or subject lines

Step 4: Save Your Work

  • Click Save Brand Voice to confirm changes.

Step 5: Select the Brand Voice in Brand Settings

You must select your Brand Voice inside the brand for it to be available. This step is required.

  1. Go to Brands.

  2. Open the brand you want to edit.

  3. Locate the Brand Voice section.

  4. Select the Brand Voice(s) you want available for that brand.

  5. Click Set as Default to choose the voice applied automatically to new assets.

  6. Save your changes.

⚠️ If you skip this step, the Brand Voice will not appear in assets or AI Assistants.


Changing Brand Voices

When editing your asset:

  • From the info tab, view the applied brand voice and switch to any other selected for that brand by using the drop-down menu

  • When using the AI Assistants, you can view which brand voice is selected for the asset:
