AI Email Generation: Getting Started

Generate brand-consistent emails in minutes using Knak AI. Provide your content and style preferences to quickly create a polished, editable email draft.

Before You Begin

Before generating an email:

  • Enable Knak AI.

  • Prepare a prompt that describes your campaign.

  • Optionally gather supporting files, images, or URLs.

Generate an Email

Step 1: Start Your Email

You have two ways to begin.

Option 1: Create a New Email

Start with a blank AI-generated email.

Option 2: Clone with AI

Note: This feature is currently in Beta testing. Please reach out to kate.mosley@knak.com if you would like to participate.

Use an existing email as the starting point. Clone with AI preserves:

  • Layout

  • Modules

  • Branding

  • Colors

  • Structure

Knak AI generates new messaging based on your prompt.

To use Clone with AI

  1. Drag an existing email into the Knak AI input field.

    or click the three dot menu and select Clone with AI wherever the option appears.

  2. Enter your prompt.

  3. Generate your email.

Step 2: Enter Your Prompt

Describe the email you want to create.

Examples:

  • Product launch

  • Webinar invitation

  • Event follow-up

  • Newsletter

You can also add supporting content:

  • Campaign brief (PDF)

  • Copy document

  • Public URL

Step 3: Choose Your Design

Choose how Knak AI should build your email.

Options include:

  • Brand Theme

  • Previous Email PDF

  • Create a new layout

Step 4: Choose Your Modules (Optional)

You can manually select modules or let Knak AI recommend them.

Note: This feature is currently in Alpha testing. Please reach out to kate.mosley@knak.com if you would like to participate.

Select Modules Yourself

Choose this option if you want more control over the final layout.

  1. Choose Modules as the design option.

  2. Browse module previews.

  3. Filter by category.

  4. Search by module name.

  5. Select up to 10 modules.

Knak AI uses your selected modules together with your prompt. Not every selected module will appear in the final email.

Let Knak AI Recommend Modules

Choose this option if you want Knak AI to select modules for you.

  1. Enter your prompt.

  2. Add supporting context.

  3. Choose Modules as the design option.

  4. Enable Auto-select modules.

  5. Submit your request.

Knak AI recommends modules based on your prompt and context.

Step 5: Add Images

Upload images from:

  • Your computer

  • Knak Image Library

  • Digital Asset Manager (DAM)

You can also provide a public URL to help Knak AI locate relevant images.

Step 6: Generate Your Email

Click Submit.

  • Knak AI generates your email in a few minutes.

  • You'll receive a notification when it is ready.

Review Your Email

The generated email is fully editable.

You can:

  • Edit copy

  • Replace images

  • Rearrange modules

  • Update branding

  • Regenerate sections

Remix an Existing Prompt

Want to try a different direction?

  1. Hover over the AI icon.

  2. Click Remix.

Remix keeps:

  • Your prompt

  • Attachments

  • Previous inputs

Update your prompt and generate a new version.
