Transitioning to a new MAP? Check out this article for best practice recommendations.

If your company is transitioning from one MAP to another, here are some best practices to support that transition:

1. First, connect to your new integration. Navigate to the platforms section to do this: Admin > Integrations > Platforms. From here you will be able to set up your integration to your new Marketing Automation Platform.

2. Add any sync restrictions if needed by navigating to the Admin > Integrations > Sync Restrictions tab (optional step). Learn more about sync restrictions in this help document.

3. Add Merge tags (Personalisation Tokens) for your new MAP. Our Knak tags will allow you to add multiple values in the same token to work in multiple Marketing Automation Platforms. Learn more about our Merge tags in our help document here.

4. Update your landing pages to use the forms from your new MAP:

5. Check to see if you need to apply changes to your UTMs or other tracking parameters you have set in place if you are using anything that was specific to your previous Marketing Automation Platform that will not transfer to your new MAP.

*Note: To bulk update your UTMs, you can add these details through the brand section on the admin side of the platform. If you want these changes to only apply to new emails/landing pages make sure to keep these fields unlocked. If you need to apply this change to previously created assets, lock these fields and your assets will populate with these changes upon opening them again. You will need the role permission to adjust admin settings to apply changes at the brand level.

Email Settings: Click Admin > Brands > Edit Brand > Email Settings
