New Knak IP Addresses

Knak is adding new IP addresses to improve infrastructure and ensure more stable deliverability. Update your firewall or allowlist to maintain uninterrupted service.

Updated this week

Why Are These New IPs Being Added?

Knak is expanding its egress IP pool. Egress IPs are used when Knak systems send data out to external services. This update improves service stability and routing reliability.

What Do You Need to Do?

Update your firewall or allowlist to include the new IPs. Do not remove any existing Knak IP addresses.

FAQs:

Why Can't You Remove the Old IPs Yet?

Both the old and new IP addresses will be active during a transition period. Knak will notify you when it is safe to remove the old IPs.

What Happens If You Don’t Update?

If the new IPs are not allowlisted, Knak may lose connectivity with your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP) integration. This can cause sync failures. Please note that this only applies if you already have old Knak IP addresses restricted in your MAP. If not, no action is needed.

Additionally, when using Marketo, check for any configured IP restrictions in the Security section in Admin to ensure the listed IP addresses are not inadvertently blocked.

Do You Need to Update Anything Inside Knak?

No. You only need to allowlist the new IPs. No changes are required within the Knak platform.

Who Should Handle This Update?

Your IT or network team should manage this change.

What if I didn't have the old IP addresses added previously in our MAP?

Do not add the new IP addresses if your company did not previously allowlist the old IP addresses. Adding only the new ones without the old ones will cause your syncs to fail.

What if I already added the new IP addresses as IP restrictions in our MAP only but didn't have old IP addresses previously?

There are two options for how to move forward:

Option 1: Allowlist Both Old and New IPs
If you want to restrict access by IP:

  • Make sure both the old and new IP addresses are allowlisted in your Marketing Automation Platform (MAP).

  • Only adding the new IPs without the old ones will result in failed syncs.

Option 2: Disable IP Restrictions

  • You can fully disable IP restrictions in your MAP.

  • This will allow syncs to proceed without needing to manage allowlisted IP addresses.

Can you provide the list of old IPs so we can confirm if we have these added on our end?
