How to Manually Import an Email to SFMC

How to bring a Knak email into SFMC without the SFMC Integration

How to export your asset from Knak

  1. Open your asset and find the "publish" button on the top right corner. Afer selecting publish, click download > download HTML for SFMC.

How to retrieve the asset code

  1. Open up a new tab in your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc).

  2. Open the asset you just downloaded in the new tab.

  3. Hover your mouse over the asset, right click and select 'view page source.'

  4. Select or highlight ALL of the code and copy

How to import your HTML to SFMC

Step 1. Visit the Salesforce website and login to your account. Click on "Content Builder."

Step 2. From here, click on the folder you would like to place your asset in, and then click the "Create" button on the top right and select "Email Message."

Step 3. After opening that page, expand the drop down menu beside "Create Email" to select your creation option and click "HTML."

Step 4: From here a popup modal will appear for you to add your email name, add a description, change your folder location, add a campaign, share to your business units, or adjust your target language field. After applying any changes, press next.

Step 5: Now you'll be directed to the "Add Content" screen. Paste your HTML code in the left section where it says to "Click here to paste code directly."

Step 6. Add your subject line and preheader text to the email, and then press next.

Step 7. Now it's time to preview and test! We recommend sending test previews to make sure everything looks as intended for your email.
