Overview
This guide explains how to manually export an HTML asset from Knak and upload it into HubSpot's Design Manager. Use this method if your HubSpot integration is not connected.
Step 1: Export Your Asset from Knak
Open your asset in Knak.
Click the Actions Menu (top-right corner).
Click Download > Download HTML for HubSpot.
Step 2: Retrieve the Asset Code
Open a new tab in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
Open the downloaded HTML file in that tab.
Right-click anywhere on the page and select View Page Source.
Copy all the code from the source page.
Step 3: Paste the Code into HubSpot
Log into HubSpot.
Go to Content > Design Manager.
Click Create New File.
In the dialog box:
In the Set up your new HTML + HubL template dialog:
For “What are you building,” choose Template.
For “Template Type,” select Page or Email.
Click Create.
Step 4: Add HTML + HubL to Your Template
In the code editor, paste the HTML code into your new file.

Review the preview to confirm the asset displays correctly.
If everything looks good, click Publish Changes.
⚠ Important: HubSpot Footer Tags
HubSpot requires specific tags in emails or landing pages.
