How to manually bring a Knak template into Eloqua

This article will describe the steps to import your Knak asset into Eloqua without an integration.

How to export your asset from Knak

  1. Open your asset and find the "publish" button on the top right corner. After selecting publish, click download > download HTML for Eloqua.

How to retrieve the asset code

  1. Open up a new tab in your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc).

  2. Open the asset you just downloaded in the new tab.

  3. Hover your mouse over the asset, right click and select 'view page source.'

  4. Select or highlight ALL of the code and copy

How to Import a Knak Asset into Eloqua

Step 1. Login to Eloqua and select the option to create an email or landing page

From the home page navigate to the top menu bar and select the pencil and paper icon to expand the drop down menu. Click Emails or Landing Pages (depending on which asset you are importing).

Step 2. Press the "Create" button near the top right

This will bring up the popup modal to fill in the asset details. For an email you will need to fill out the Email Name, Email Group, Subject Line, and Preview Text. For a landing page you will need to add a Landing page name, and you can also add a Microsite and Vanity URL.

Step 3. Select a Blank HTML Template

Click the HTML Template and then press Select at the bottom right corner

Step 4. Paste your HTML code into the HTML screen on the right hand side

Step 5. Press save and preview your email or landing page!

For your email, press actions and select "Test Content" or "Email Contact" and for landing pages press actions and select "Preview" to send to a contact.
