Available Login Methods
Single Sign-On (SSO)
Single Sign-On (SSO) lets users log in using your Identity Provider (IdP). Knak supports Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0. SSO centralizes authentication and improves security.
Enable SSO
Go to Admin Settings > Login.
Click Configure next to Single Sign-On (SSO).
Configure Your Identity Provider
Follow one of these guides for step-by-step setup:
Username and Password Login / Force SSO
Control how users log in to Knak by toggling the Username and Password Login setting.
Go to Admin Settings > Login.
Toggle Username and Password Login ON to allow users to log in using their email and password.
Toggle it OFF to force all users to log in via SSO only. When disabled, users must use your SSO login and cannot use a username and password to login.
Note: Previously, forcing SSO required contacting Knak support. This setting is now available to admins to adjust as needed.
Login with SSO
After you configure SSO login for your instance:
Click Continue with SSO on the Knak login page.
Enter your email address to sign in.
Note: Emails entered here must match the user emails set up in Knak.
Login with Google
Login with Google allows users to sign in using their Google account.
Enable Login with Google
Go to Admin Settings > Login.
Toggle Login with Google ON.
After enabling this option:
Users click Continue with Google on the login page.
Users authenticate through Google.
Note: This only works if the user's Knak email matches a Google account. If a user’s email is not linked to a Google account, this option will not work.
