Clone Programs and Launch Campaigns in Knak

Clone Marketo programs, sync emails, and schedule campaigns directly from Knak.

Before You Begin

Before using Knak Launch for Marketo:

  • Configure program templates in Knak

  • Prepare your Marketo programs

  • Enable scheduling functionality if needed


Clone a Marketo Program

  1. Build your email in Knak

  2. Click Actions > Sync

  3. Under Sync to a New Program, select Create New Program

  4. Select the program template you want to clone

  5. Enter the following details:

    • Program name

    • Description

    • Destination folder or location

    Program details screen.
  6. Optional: Enable Schedule Email to schedule the campaign during sync

    • Select the send date

    • Select the send time

    • Select the time zone

    Note: Scheduling an email requires an additional confirmation step before the email can be synced to Marketo.

  7. Choose one of the following:

    • Save & Sync Later

    • Next to continue syncing immediately

  8. If you choose Save & Sync Later:

    1. Reopen the email

    2. Open the Info tab

    3. Click Sync Now

  9. Review your settings

  10. Click Yes, Sync Program

Your program is cloned and your email is synced to the new Marketo program.


Scheduling Notes

  • Default Programs require a Smart Campaign to trigger the send

  • Smart campaigns are deactivated when a program is cloned

  • Knak automatically reactivates smart campaigns during scheduling

  • Emails must include a subject line before scheduling

Important: The program type is only retrieved from Marketo when a program template is created. If you update the program type in Marketo after creating the template, Knak will not automatically detect the change. To use the updated program type, create a new program template in Knak.

If a program template is not configured to allow scheduled sends, create a new program template after updating the program in Marketo.
