SEO is important to drive users to your landing page. Here's a list of the some of the best practices you can use to improve your SEO within Knak:

Page Title and Description

These two things are two of the most important meta tags on your page.

In the title, you should include target keywords that matches the search intent. It should be descriptive but to the point. With most search engines, the entire title will show if it remains under 60 characters.

With the description, the text should include target keywords, be unique, match the search intent and be an accurate summary of the page. The description should be no longer than 160 characters.

The Title and Description can be found under Info > Details

Images

Images are important to help the user experience for people visiting your landing page. Making sure they are optimized will help with your SEO and help bring more visitors to your landing page.

The speed at which your page loads is important to how it ranks and images play a large factor to the overall page size. JPEG and PNG are the most popular image formats. JPEG are generally smaller in size and best for photographs. Images that contain text, line drawings, graphs and logos are best suited with PNGs.

Another important aspect for SEO is the Alt Text for images. The Alt Text should be concise in the description of the image. Not only will this help with the SEO, it will help with user accessibility as well.

The Alternate text can be found on the right side when an image block is selected:

Internal Linking

Adding internal links to top-ranking pages on your site will help with SEO. Internal links are those that point to another page on your site whereas external links connect to a whole different website.
