Manually Linking an Email Template to a Campaign in Responsys

Manually link the latest Knak email template to your Oracle Responsys campaign if automatic syncing fails.

Overview

Knak automatically links your email template to your Oracle Responsys campaign after a successful sync. In the rare event that the template is not linked, you can complete the process manually by following the steps in this article.


Before You Begin

Make sure:

  • Your email has synced successfully from Knak.

  • The email template exists in Oracle Responsys.

  • You have permission to edit the campaign in Oracle Responsys.


Manually Link the Email Template

  1. Open your campaign in Oracle Responsys.

  2. Hover over the Email Message panel.

  3. Click Edit Message.

  4. Next to the current email template, click Change.

  5. In the dialog box, click Create from File.

  6. Click Choose from Library.

  7. In the folder picker, navigate to: All Contentz_knak[Your Campaign Name]

  8. Expand the campaign folder.

  9. Locate the most recent email template.

    • Look at the date and time at the end of the file name.

    • Widen the File Name column if you cannot see the full file name.

  10. Select the email template.

  11. Click Select in the lower-right corner.

The selected email template is now linked to your Oracle Responsys campaign. You can continue editing, previewing, or launching your campaign as usual.


Troubleshooting

I can't find the campaign folder.

Confirm that the email synced successfully from Knak. If the sync did not complete, sync the email again before continuing.

I see multiple email templates with similar names.

Select the template with the most recent date and time at the end of the file name. If needed, widen the File Name column to view the full name.

I can't edit the campaign.

Verify that your Oracle Responsys account has permission to edit the campaign. Contact your Oracle Responsys administrator if you need additional access.
