How to Lock Emails & Landing Pages

Prevent unauthorized edits to completed assets by locking them in the Studio.

Before You Begin

You must enable asset locking before completed emails and landing pages can be locked automatically.

Turn On Locking for Completed Assets

Enable the setting from the Admin side of the platform.

  1. Go to Admin.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Select Review.

  4. Turn on Lock completed emails and pages for editing.

Once enabled, completed emails and landing pages are automatically locked. Users without the required permission cannot edit them.

Lock an Email or Landing Page

Mark an asset as Completed to lock it.

Steps to Lock an Asset

  1. Open the Studio.

  2. Find the email or landing page that you want to lock.

  3. Click the three-dot menu next to the asset.

  4. Select Mark completed.

The asset is now locked. Users without permission can no longer edit it.

View Completed (Locked) Assets

Use the Studio filters to find locked assets.

  1. Open the Studio.

  2. Apply the Completed filter.

The Studio displays only completed, locked assets.

Edit a Locked Asset

Only users with the Edit Locked Emails role permission can edit locked emails and landing pages.

If your role includes this permission, you can continue making changes after an asset has been locked.
