Track changes made to your Email or Landing Page. View a history of important actions for each asset.

What Is an Audit Trail?

An Audit Trail is a record of the actions performed on an Email or Landing Page. It helps you understand what changes were made over time. It also provides additional context alongside your asset's version history.

Use the Audit Trail to:

  • Review changes made to an asset.

  • Confirm when key actions occurred.

  • Track approval, download, synchronization, or translation activity.

Note: The Audit Trail records activity for individual assets. Use it together with Version History for a complete view of an asset's changes.


Where to Find the Audit Trail

You can access the Audit Trail from the Info tab within any Email or Landing Page.

  1. Open your Email or Landing Page.

  2. Click the Info tab.

  3. Review the Audit Trail section.

Actions Logged in the Audit Trail

The Audit Trail records a variety of actions. The available entries include the following.

Approval Activity

The Audit Trail logs approval-related actions such as:

  • Sent for Approval

  • Resent for Approval

  • Approval Edited

  • Approvals Completed

  • Marked as Approved

  • Marked as Draft

  • Approvals Deleted

  • Marked as Completed

Download Activity

The Audit Trail records when your asset is downloaded in different formats.

Supported download events include:

  • Download HTML

  • Download PDF

  • Download Dynamic Content Variations PDF

  • Download CRM ZIP

  • Download PDF for Mobile View

  • Download PDF Without Details

  • Download PNG with Details

  • Download PNG for External Review

  • Download PNG for Mobile View

  • Download PNG

  • Download Veeva CRM ZIP

Synchronization Activity

The Audit Trail records synchronization events with connected integrations.

Examples include:

  • Synced to [Integration Name]

  • Resynced to [Integration Name]

  • Program Cloned

  • Program Updated

Translation Activity

The Audit Trail records translation requests.

Supported events include:

  • Translation Requested

  • Translation Re-requested
