This article covers how to export or download an email or landing page from Knak so you can upload it into an external platform such as an email service provider (ESP) or Marketing Automation Platform.
This would be necessary if you're using a platform which doesn't have a direct integration with Knak. You can view all of our current integrations here.
How to export an asset from Knak
Open the asset you want to use and select Publish > Download > Download HTML
# Ensure you select our generic export and not a platform specific export such as 'download for Marketo'
How to retrieve the asset code
Open up a new tab in your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc)
Open the asset you just downloaded in the new tab
Hover your mouse over the asset, right click and select 'view page source'
Select or highlight ALL of the code and copy
How to paste the code into your sending or hosting platform
Open your platform and create or open an email or landing page
Switch to the place where you can edit or upload code
Paste in the code from Knak
Please note this step will vary based on the platform you're using, different applications will have slightly different ways of uploading html.
