Acquia DAM set up guide

To create an Acquia DAM integration in Knak, you’ll need a user with admin permissions.

Creating an Acquia admin user

  1. Sign in to Acquia and go to the admin page. It is available in the menu on the top left.

  2. From there, go to Global Settings → API Setup

  3. If a Knak integration exists already, skip this step. Otherwise, create an integration using the “New Integration” button.

  4. After the integration is created – or if one already exists – you will need to create an access token. This can be done by clicking “Generate User Access Token” for the Knak integration. It is recommended that you save this somewhere because you can only view it once.

  5. In order to generate your User Access Token, you will need to assign the token to an existing user in your Acquia directory. Please ensure that this user has the necessary permissions to view all Acquia images that you would like to see in Knak via the integration.

  6. This access token is the only credential you need to integrate Acquia with Knak.

Setting up the integration in Knak

  1. Log in to your Knak account

  2. Click on "Studio" on the top left corner, then click on the "Admin" button to navigate into the Admin Settings

  3. Select the "Integrations" option on the left-hand side menu bar, and then click on "Platforms"

  4. Select "Acquia" under Digital Asset Management

  5. Paste in your Access Token from Acquia

  6. Complete the setup by clicking "Create New Integration"

  7. Congratulations! You have successfully set up the Acquia integration and will be able to add images from your Acquia DAM into emails and landing pages in Knak!

Managing your integration

Now that your integration is set up, you can view its configuration, edit it, or delete it from the "My Platform Connection" list on the Integrations page.

If you need to connect a new integration – or re-add a previously deleted one – you can do so by scrolling down to the "All Platforms" section and clicking Connect or Add Another Connection on the relevant platform tile.
