Note: This feature is currently in Alpha testing. Please reach out to your CSM if you would like to participate.

Finding the API Key in Brandfolder

Setting up the Brandfolder ↔ Knak integration is simple and only requires the user’s API Key. The integration will have identical access and permissions to the user who is providing the key. To make sure the integration works well, please use a user who is confirmed to have access to all the features and assets you need.

Here are the steps to follow in order to set up with Knak:

  1. Sign in to Brandfolder. In the top right, click on your name and you should then see this menu:

  2. Click on My Profile. You should then see this menu open up on the left:

  3. Select Integrations:

  4. On that page, you should see the API Key along with a button that reads Copy Key. Keep this key a secret and do not share it with anyone.

Setting up the integration in Knak

  1. Log in to your Knak account

  2. Click on "Studio" on the top left corner, then click on the "Admin" button to navigate into the Admin Settings

  3. Select the "Integrations" option on the left-hand side menu bar, and then click on "Platforms"

  4. Select "Brandfolder" under Digital Asset Management

  5. Paste in your API Key from Brandfolder

  6. Complete the setup by clicking "Create New Integration"

  7. Congratulations! You have successfully set up the Acquia integration and will be able to add images from your Acquia DAM into emails and landing pages in Knak!

Note: you must have at least one Brandfolder created before setting up the integration otherwise it will fail.

Managing your integration

Now that your integration is set up, you can view its configuration, edit it, or delete it from the "My Platform Connection" list on the Integrations page.

If you need to connect a new integration – or re-add a previously deleted one – you can do so by scrolling down to the "All Platforms" section and clicking Connect or Add Another Connection on the relevant platform tile.
