Before You Begin
Before you create the integration, make sure you have:
An Acquia (Widen) user account with Admin permissions
Access to your Knak Admin settings
Permission to view the Acquia images that you want to access in Knak
Create an Acquia (Widen) Access Token
You must create an access token in Acquia before you can connect your account to Knak.
Open the API Setup Page
Sign in to your Acquia account.
Open the menu in the top-left corner.
Click Admin.
Go to Global Settings > API Setup.
Create an Integration
If a Knak integration already exists, skip this section.
Generate a User Access Token
Locate the Knak integration.
Click Generate User Access Token.
Assign the token to an existing Acquia (Widen) user.
Save the access token in a secure location.
The selected Acquia (Widen) user must have permission to view every image that you want to access through Knak.
Important: You can only view the access token once.
Connect Acquia (Widen) DAM in Knak
Click Admin in the top-left corner.
Go to Integrations.
Click Platforms.
Find the Acquia (Widen) tile under Digital Asset Management.
Click Connect.
Paste your Acquia (Widen) Access Token into the token field.
Choose how you want your assets to appear:
Categories (default)
Collections (enable the toggle)
Click Create New Integration.
Note: The integration displays Categories by default. Enable the toggle to display Collections instead.
Verify the Connection
After the integration is created, you can browse your Acquia assets while building emails or landing pages in Knak.
Note: Due to Acquia API limitations, only Global Collections are available through the integration.
Manage Your Integration
After setup, view your integration in the My Platform Connection list on the Integrations page.
From here, you can:
View the configuration
Edit the integration
Delete the integration
To connect a new integration or re-add a deleted one:
Scroll to All Platforms.
Find the Acquia (Widen) tile.
Click Connect or Add Another Connection.
Troubleshooting
Images Do Not Appear in Knak
If an image does not load into your asset library, verify that the image URL ends with one of the supported file formats:
Supported File Types |
PNG (.png) |
GIF (.gif) |
JPEG (.jpeg or .jpg) |
TIFF (.tiff) |
If the issue continues, confirm that:
The access token is valid.
The assigned Acquia user has permission to view the image.
The image belongs to a supported Global Collection, if applicable.
