Knak's new Performance Insights feature enables you to view key email metrics right in Knak!
Performance Insights (Marketo)
Performance Insights (Marketo) pulls key email metrics from Marketo into Knak for easy access. Gone are the days of waiting to learn how your emails performed. Once your campaign is launched from Marketo, you can check how it performed in Knak.
How do I enable this feature?
Knak Administrators can enable Performance Insights by following these easy steps:
Navigate to the Admin side of your Knak instance
Select Platforms under the Integrations dropdown menu
Locate your Marketo integration and click Edit
Under Advanced Options toggle on Turn on Performance Data and click Save
Important notes
Metrics will only be shown for emails synced and sent after this feature is enabled via the above steps.
Knak requests these metrics from Marketo four times per day. While we cannot guarantee how long it will take Marketo's API to return the data, in general, you can expect to see updated metrics at the following times (EST):
5:30am, 11:30am, 5:30pm and 11:30pm
Ensure that your Marketo API user role (that you used to set up your original Marketo integration) has the "Read-Only Activity" permission enabled.

Total sent
Total delivered
Total opens & open rate
Total clicks and click-through rate
Total unsubscribes and unsubscribe rate
How are these metrics calculated?
Open rate = Total opens / Total delivered
Click-through rate = Total clicks / Total delivered
Unsubscribe rate = Total unsubscribes / Total delivered
Where can I see these metrics?
Your metrics will be displayed in two places:
On the asset tile in both the Studio and campaign views
Under the Performance tab of the Knak Builder

Can I see metrics for my landing pages?
Not at this time but it is something we’ll be incorporating in the future.
Why does data stop importing after 30 days?
To ensure that we can parse our bulk exports as efficiently as possible and deliver the most recent and relevant metrics to customers, we only import new metrics for 30 days after the first import.
After 30 days, you will still be able to view your historical metrics on the asset tile or by opening the email and viewing the Performance tab.
Which emails can I see metrics for?
You can see metrics for all emails that are synced to and sent from Marketo, after the date that the feature was enabled.
Will Knak impact my Marketo Builk API Export limit?
In short, no. By default, Marketo customers have a 500 MB limit for Bulk API Export data. Our feature is set up to automatically stop importing data once we hit 50% of that daily limit (250 MB). We will continue to import and backfill data the following day (up to 250 MB).
Can I increase my default Knak cutoff limit past 250 MB?
Yes, your CSM is able to change your cutoff limit if you would like. You can confirm your current Marketo Bulk API Export daily limit by following these steps.
