Performance Insights (Account Engagement)

Learn how to enable and use Performance Insights for Account Engagement in Knak. View email performance metrics directly in Knak after your campaign is sent from Account Engagement.

What Is Performance Insights?

Performance Insights pulls key email metrics from Account Engagement into Knak. This feature helps you review campaign performance without leaving Knak.

You can quickly monitor:

  • Sends

  • Deliveries

  • Opens

  • Clicks

  • Unsubscribes

Enable Performance Insights

Only Knak Administrators can enable this feature.

Step 1: Open Platform Integrations

  1. Log in to Knak.

  2. Navigate to the Admin area.

  3. Open the Integrations dropdown menu.

  4. Select Platforms.

    Log in to Knak, in the admin area, open the integration platforms , select platforms

Step 2. Edit the Account Engagement Integration

  1. Locate your Account Engagement integration.

  2. Click Edit.Under platforms, find your Account Engagement integration and click edit.

Step 3: Turn On Performance Data

  1. Toggle on Performance Insights.

  2. Click Save Changes.

    Click on the toggle to turn on performance data, then click on save changes

Important Notes

Metrics Only Apply to Future Sends

Metrics are only available for:

  • Emails synced after the feature is enabled

  • Emails successfully synced to Account Engagement

  • Emails sent to real leads or members

Metrics are not available for:

  • Test emails

  • Sample sends

Metric Sync Timing

Knak requests updated metrics from Account Engagement four times each day.

You can typically expect updates around:

  • 5:30 AM EST

  • 11:30 AM EST

  • 5:30 PM EST

  • 11:30 PM EST

Actual timing depends on the Account Engagement API response time.


Available Metrics

Performance Insights includes the following metrics:

Metric

Total Sent

Total number of emails sent

Total Delivered

Total number of delivered emails

Total Opens

Number of email opens

Open Rate

Percentage of delivered emails opened

Total Clicks

Number of link clicks

Click-Through Rate

Percentage of delivered emails clicked

Total Unsubscribes

Number of unsubscribes

Unsubscribe Rate

Percentage of delivered emails unsubscribed

How are these metrics calculated?

  • Open rate = Total opens / Total delivered

  • Click-through rate = Total clicks / Total delivered

  • Unsubscribe rate = Total unsubscribes / Total delivered


Where to View Performance Metrics

You can view metrics in two locations inside Knak.

Asset Tiles

Metrics appear on asset tiles in:

  • Studio view

  • Campaign view

    The performance metrics, will appear beside each asset, in the studio view

Performance Tab in the Builder

  • Open an email asset.

  • Click the Performance tab.

    The performance metrics, will also appear under the performace tab in the email  in the email builder

FAQs

Which Emails Display Metrics?

Metrics appear for emails that:

  • Are synced to and sent from Account Engagement

  • Are sent after Performance Insights is enabled

Sample emails and unsupported test sends may not display metrics because merge tags in tracking URLs require real recipient data.

Why Does Data Stop Updating After 30 Days?

Knak imports new metrics for 30 days after the first import.

This helps improve processing speed and ensures recent metrics remain up to date.

After 30 days:

  • Historical metrics remain visible

  • Metrics can still be viewed on the asset tile

  • Metrics remain available in the Performance tab

Can You Track Landing Page Metrics?

No. Landing page metrics are not currently supported.

As a workaround:

  1. Create separate landing pages in Knak.

  2. Sync both pages to your Marketing Automation Platform.

  3. Run an A/B test within your MAP.
