Table Element

Build structured layouts with rows and columns directly inside the Knak editor.

The Table Element helps you organize content in a clean, flexible format. You can use tables to display product comparisons, pricing details, schedules, feature lists, or any content that benefits from a grid layout.

The Table Element works across Emails and Landing Pages. It is fully supported in Module Builder and Theme Builder.

Before You Start

The Table Element is available in:

  • Email Builder

  • Landing Page Builder

  • Module Builder

  • Theme Builder

You can:

  • Drag and drop the element into your layout

  • Resize and edit table content

  • Copy and paste tables

  • Save tables inside reusable modules

  • Use responsive visibility settings

  • Add anchor targets for Landing Pages


Add a Table Element

Insert the Element

  1. Open your email or landing page.

  2. Open the Elements panel.

  3. Drag the Table Element into the canvas.

Edit Table Content

After adding the element, click inside the table to edit content.

You can:

  • Add text

  • Format text styles

  • Adjust rows and columns

  • Apply spacing and alignment

  • Customize borders and background colors

Changes appear immediately in the builder preview.

Move, Copy, and Duplicate Tables

The Table Element supports standard builder workflows.

Move the Table

  1. Click the table.

  2. Drag the table to a new location.

You can also move the table using the Layer Browser.

Duplicate the Table

  1. Select the table.

  2. Click the Clone icon.

Copy and Paste

You can copy and paste tables:

  • Within the same email or landing page

  • Across different emails

  • Across landing pages

  • Between reusable modules

Formatting and structure remain intact after pasting.


Manage Tables in the Layer Browser

The Table Element appears in the Layer Browser like other builder components.

From the Layer Browser, you can:

  • Rename the table

  • Duplicate the table

  • Copy and paste the table

  • Delete the table

  • Reorder the table

Responsive Display Settings

The Table Element includes responsive visibility controls.

Hide on Desktop or Mobile

  1. Select the table.

  2. Open the Settings panel.

  3. Configure visibility options:

    • Hide on Desktop

    • Hide on Mobile

Use preview mode to confirm the expected display on each device size.

Translation Support

The Table Element supports multi-language workflows.

You can include table content in translation workflows without breaking layout or formatting.

Supported translation workflows include:

  • Email translations

  • Landing page translations

  • Multi-language campaigns

Always review translated content in Preview Mode before publishing


Best Practices

Keep Tables Simple

Use clean layouts with consistent spacing.

Avoid overly complex nested structures.

Test on Mobile

Always preview tables on smaller screens.

Large tables may require simplified layouts for mobile devices.

Use Consistent Styling

Apply consistent:

  • Border styles

  • Font sizes

  • Padding

  • Alignment

This improves readability.
