Knak - Getting Started

Set up your Knak account. Build emails that stay on brand. Follow these steps to configure your workspace, create your first assets, build reusable content, and streamline your review process.

Use these resources to find answers quickly.

  • Live Chat: Click the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of the platform. You can chat with the support bot or connect with a support representative.

  • Help Center: Browse articles, videos, setup guides, best practices, and how-to documentation.

Phase 1 – Set Up the Basics

Recommended for admins when first configuring their Knak Instance for the company settings.

Start by opening the Admin area.

Users

Invite your team members to Knak.

You can:

Review Groups

Create approval workflows before assets are published or synced.

Settings

Configure account-wide defaults.

Image Library

  • Store images in folders.

Phase 2 – Create an Asset

An asset is a Knak email or landing page created inside the Knak builder. You design assets visually using pre-built components. These components include modules, sections, and themes.

Before You Begin

Before creating your first asset, complete the Knak Academy course. This course explains the builder interface and core design concepts.

The course helps you learn how to:

  • Navigate the drag-and-drop builder

  • Use modules and sections

  • Apply themes for consistent styling

  • Build emails and landing pages faster

Build Your Asset

  1. Open the drag-and-drop builder.

  2. Add sections and modules to the canvas.

  3. Customize text, images, and layout.

  4. Save your work.

  • Leave comments directly on email elements.

  • Create structured approval workflows before assets are downloaded or synced.

Review Tab

Track approval progress through each review stage.

Use the Review tab to see:

  • Current approval status

  • Review stages

  • Pending approvals

  • Completed approvals
