Accept an Invitation to Knak

When an administrator invites you to Knak, you receive an invitation email with a secure activation link. Follow the steps below to activate your account.

The email:

  • Contains a button for activating your account.

  • Remains valid for up to 30 days from the original invitation date.

Use the Most Recent Invitation Email

Knak may send reminder emails if you have not activated your account. Each reminder contains a new activation link. The new link replaces every earlier link.

Always open the most recent invitation email before activating your account. An older link may show an invalid-link message even when your invitation has not reached its expiration date.

Note: Reminder emails do not extend the original 30-day invitation period. If you do not accept your invite in the 30-day period, reach out to your admin to resend your invitation.

Invitation Reminders

You may receive reminders on the following days after your invitation is created:

Last Chance: Your Invite Is Expiring

You do not need to complete any extra steps when you receive a reminder. Open the newest email and use its activation link.

Troubleshoot Your Invitation

Your Invitation Link Has Expired

Invitation links remain valid for up to 30 days from the original invitation date.

Ask an administrator at your organization to resend your invitation. A resent invitation includes a new link with a new 30-day activation period.

Your Link Says It Is Invalid

You may have opened an older invitation email.

  1. Search your inbox for all Knak invitation emails.

  2. Sort the emails by date.

  3. Open the newest email.

  4. Click the activation button in that email.

Contact your administrator when the newest link also fails.

You Did Not Receive an Invitation

Complete these checks:

  1. Search for an email from noreply@knak.com.

  2. Check your spam, junk, and quarantine folders.

  3. Ask your administrator to confirm your email address in Knak.

  4. Ask your information technology team to allow emails from noreply@knak.com.

  5. Ask your administrator to resend the invitation.

The inviting administrator is listed as the reply-to contact. Reply to the invitation email when you need help from that person.

You Already Activated Your Account

You do not need another invitation after you create your password.

  1. Go to the Knak sign-in page and enter your email address and password.

  2. Click Reset password when you cannot remember your password. Password reset links are separate from invitation links and expire sooner.

You Received a Password Reset Email

An email with the subject Reset your password is not an account invitation.

Use that email only to change the password for an existing account. Contact your administrator when you expected an invitation instead.
