You'll need Administrator permissions to add a new or alias user to your instance.

Need to create multiple accounts for a single user in Knak? A user account in Knak is defined by an email address. Once that email address has been assigned to an account, it cannot be used on another account. There's a solution for this. You can add a secondary account for a previously-created user with an alias email.

Here's an example:

Let's say that FIN@knak.com is an existing account in your instance. You could then use FIN+companyname@knak.com to create a new account in your instance. This will allow the user to have two accounts in the same instance or across different instances.

Step-by-Step Instructions on How to Create an Email Alias for a User:

  1. Log into your Knak Account.

  2. Navigate to the 'Admin' Section and then to the 'Users' tab.

  3. Select the 'Invite Users' button.

  4. Type their original email address in the Email field. Insert ‘+companyname’ or '+rolename' before the '@' symbol (e.g FIN+companyname@knak.com). This is your alias email to create the new user account.

  5. Select the roles and brands you'd like the alias user to have.

  6. The original user will receive an account invite to their main inbox account.

  7. Press 'Save User and Send Invite' button.
