Review Segment Details (Recommended Tip)

Before selecting a segment, review its details.

How to Review a Segment

  • Hover over a segment

  • Open the segment flyout menu

What You Can See

The flyout shows:

  • Marketing Automation Platform (MAP)

    • A MAP is the system used to manage and send marketing campaigns

  • Segment type

    • Global or Local

  • Condition logic

    • The rules used to define the audience

Why This Matters

  • Confirm the segment belongs to the correct MAP

  • Avoid using segments from the wrong platform

There is no asset-level deletion for global segments.

Troubleshooting Segment Order

Segment order affects which content displays.

Best Practice

  • Add more specific segments first

  • Add broader segments after

Example

Segment Type

Conditions

Priority

City Segment

City = Ottawa, State = Ontario, Country = Canada

First

Country Segment

Country = Canada

Second

Segment order list showing city segment prioritized above country segment

Why Order Matters

  • Users match the first valid segment

  • More detailed conditions should take priority

  • This ensures the most relevant content displays
