Use Custom Fields to create dynamic tokens that populate content based on email, brand, or company-level data.

What Are Custom Fields?

Custom Fields are dynamic tokens that insert values from your account. These can be set at the email, brand, or company level.

They use this format: {{?field_name?}}

You can find Custom Fields in the Info tab under Advanced Settings after setup.

How to Add Custom Fields to Your Account

To enable Custom Fields, contact your Customer Success Manager or Knak Support.

Provide the Following Information:

  • Field Name (token name)

  • Type

    1. Text

    2. Drop-down menu (include values)

    3. Date

    4. Date & Time

  • Account Default Value (optional)

Once added, you can:

  • Copy tokens from the brand section.

  • Insert them into emails, landing pages, or integrations like project management tools.


Admins can assign default values or lock fields at the brand level.

  • Default Value: Overrides the account default.

  • Lock Field: Prevents changes at the email level.

Show the brand-level default and lock interface.
