What are custom fields? Where can I find them?
Custom Fields create custom tokens which are populated dynamically by information at the Email, Brand, or Company Level. Tokens for Asset Custom Fields use the following syntax: {{?field_name?}}.
After these have been set up, all Custom Fields that are assigned to the current brand for a given email or page will be shown under Advanced Settings in the Info tab.
Sounds great! How do I add these to my account?
If you are interested in adding custom fields, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or Knak Support and we can set this up for you! The information our team needs to set this up for you are as follows:
Field Name (token) |
Type:
|
Account Default Value (optional) |
Once this has been setup, the custom field tokens can be copied from the brand section & placed anywhere in Knak. And/or custom tokens can be used to bring in data from a project management tool.
Brand Defaulting and Locking
Default values and locking of custom fields can be set at the brand level for Custom Fields that are assigned to that brand by the administrator for the account. Default values at the brand level will override the custom field’s account default. Locking the custom field at the brand level will not allow the value to be changed at the email level.
