What Is Brand Voice Optimize?
Brand Voice Optimize is part of Optimize Checks. It scans your email content against brand voice rules set by your Admin.
You see issues related to:
Spelling
Restricted words
Formatting rules
You do not see tone or personality feedback.
Who Can Use Brand Voice Optimize?
Admins create and manage Brand Voice rules.
Builders run checks and fix flagged content.
Set Up Brand Voice Optimize (Admin Only)
Before anyone can use Brand Voice Optimize, an Admin must complete setup of the Brand Voice Rules.
Step 1: Create Brand Voice Rules
Go to Admin Settings.
Go to Brand Settings.
Open the Brand Voice tab.
Select the Brand Voice you want to edit.
Add Brand Voice Rules.
Define allowed and restricted words.
Define formatting rules, such as punctuation usage.
Step 2: Assign Brand Voice to a Brand
Go to Brand List.
Select a brand and edit its settings.
Assign applicable Brand Voices and set a default.
Save your changes.
Each brand can have multiple Brand Voices assigned.
Each email uses the default rules assigned to its brand.
Run Brand Voice Optimize
Open your email in the editor.
Open the Optimize Tab.
Run Brand Voice Check.
The first run may take about one minute.
Results save automatically.
Any edit refreshes the check results.
Review Flagged Issues
Brand Voice Optimize checks different elements in your email.
Text Element Checks
You may see issues such as:
Incorrect brand name spelling.
Disallowed punctuation, such as em dashes.
Restricted words.
Each issue shows clear feedback.
Button Element Checks
Buttons are also checked.
Restricted words in buttons are flagged.
Example:
A banned buzzword appears in button text.
Fix or Dismiss Issues
For each flagged item, you have options.
Edit Manually
Click the highlighted element.
Update the text directly.
Rewrite Using Knak AI
Select Edit with AI.
Review the suggested rewrite.
Replace the content if it looks correct.
The rewrite follows your brand voice rules.
Dismiss an Issue
Use dismiss when:
The content is approved by your team.
The rule should not apply in this case.
Limitations
Brand Voice Optimize currently checks rules only.
It does not check:
Tone and personality attributes
Use of specific modules
Rules that apply across multiple text fields.
Only defined brand voice rules are enforced.
Best Practices
Keep brand voice rules clear and specific.
Avoid overly broad restricted words.
Review rewrites before replacing content.
