Understanding Email Statuses

Learn what each status means and how emails move from draft to completed.

Updated this week

Overview

Emails in Knak go through different statuses as they move through the review process. These statuses help your team track what needs attention and whatโ€™s completed.

The four available email statuses are:

  • Draft

  • Awaiting Approval

  • Approved

  • Completed

Emails typically follow this path:

Draft โ†’ Awaiting Approval โ†’ Approved โ†’ Completed

However, emails can also be marked as Completed at any time after Draft.

Draft

When you create a new email, it starts as a Draft. Draft emails have not been sent for approval or marked as complete.

Awaiting Approval

Once an email is sent for review, its status changes to Awaiting Approval.

Email in the approved stage, view from the studio page.

Approved

After the reviewer(s) approve the email, the status changes to Approved.

Completed

Completed is the final status of an email.

  • You must manually set this status.

  • Click the three dot menu and select Mark Completed.

  • You can mark an email as Completed at any time, but we recommend doing this as a last step.
